Shona Kelly, a member of the NCSF won a Pulse Award for her work within the charity.
Shona works for a company called Serco Ltd and the Pulse Awards are Serco's employee awards which are designed to recognise and celebrate the achievements of their employees, customers and partners.
There are two levels of Awards (divisional and global) which are awarded in 5 categories;
- Excelling at Innovation
- Making an exceptional impact
- Demonstrating outstanding commitment
- Being and Inspirational Leader
- The Heart Award
Shona was nominated by her work colleagues at Serco Education in Pill - Bristol, for a divisional heart award as they were impressed with the charities work towards helping families coping with cancer. Shona won the divisional award and went on to the next level to win a Global award for demonstrating outstanding commitment.
Shona attended the Global Award ceremony with her boyfriend Ian Mills, her work colleague Dafydd Meredith, her Mum Isobel Kelly and Nicola’s mum Mary Pearce. The ceremony was held in the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, it was a grand evening which included a 5 course meal, live music and demonstrations from the Olympic Rhythmic Athlete team.
Shona collected her award from the CEO of Serco Ltd; Chris Hyman. It was a magical evening and fun was had by all. Serco also donated £300 to the charity. |
