YOUNGSTERS DRESS UP TO SHOW SUPPORT FOR ALFIE
|
|
A Nursery in Bradley Stoke held a charity day to raise money in memory of a parent who died of cancer.Toddlers at the Leap Frog Day Nursery all paid to dress in pink for the day in aid of the Nicola Corry Support Foundation.
Nicola died from cancer two years ago at the age of 25. Her mother Mary Pearce set up the support Foundation in 2004 to help pay for day care for Nicola's son Alfie, who now attends the nursery.

The charity raises money to help other families in a similar position.
As well as dressing in pink, there was a stall set up at the nursery selling cakes, cards and jewellery to parents and carers.
Mrs Pearce said: "We are trying to raise money and support for other families in a similar situation.
We set the Foundation up to help get Alfie into nursery because there were no provisions for him. It was lovely that all the children wanted to get involved and do something for Alfie - who loves pink."
